What's this project all about?
As part of our commitment to improved environmental outcomes, we will be upgrading the existing outfall in West Arm, Beauty Point.
Commencing 10 February 2025, works will take approximately three (3) weeks to complete. Works will take place between the hours of 7:00am and 6:00pm weather and tide dependant.
For your safety while in the area, please follow all signage and direction from the project team.
Community Impacts
Temporary closure of the West Arm shoreline
For public safety, a section of the West Arm shoreline located near the TasWater Sewer Treatment Plant will be temporarily closed to public access during these works. The closure will remain in place until the project is completed, which is expected to by the end of February 2025.
What to expect during the works
We are committed to minimising disruptions to the community, but you may notice some temporary impacts, including:
- Increased vehicle movements.
- Construction noise.
- The construction staging site will be located at the Beauty Point Recreation Ground.
- Barge
activities on the Tamar River.
