What's this project all about?

As part of our commitment to investing in new and improved sewerage infrastructure to cater for Tasmania’s future growth, we have upgraded the Bicheno Sewage Treatment Plant.

This project included upgrading electrical switchboards and improvements to treatment processes with the installation of two Aeris Aerators.

This will support healthier waterways by increasing treatment efficiency in the primary lagoons while reducing the need for dosing and enhancing the quality of water returned to the environment.

This work also ensures recycled water continues to meet the required standards, now and into the future.

Construction Update - Works completed

All construction works at the Bicheno Sewage Treatment Plant have now been successfully completed on schedule, with minimal disruption to local residents and businesses.

We would like to thank the Bicheno community for their support and understanding as we delivered this important upgrade.
