As part of TasWater’s commitment to improving water services across Tasmania, we’re upgrading the Bracknell Water Treatment Plant to deliver more reliable water pressure and better service for the local community.

What’s happening

We’re upgrading the water treatment plant to improve the water pressure for the Bracknell community.

This project is part of TasWater’s ongoing commitment to improve water infrastructure across Tasmania, ensuring our customers continue to receive a reliable water supply.

Why this work is needed

This upgrade will improve our ability to increase the water pressure delivered through our network to the local Bracknell community.

Where and when

Location: The Bracknell Water Treatment Plant on Jane Street, Bracknell

  • Work is planned to begin in mid-November 2025 and be completed by late December 2025.
  • Work hours will be between 7 am and 6 pm, Monday to Friday, weather permitting.

What to expect

During work, you may notice:

  • Extra workers, vehicles, and some heavy machinery are in the area around the treatment plant.
  • Some localised noise and dust from machinery
  • Temporary periods of traffic management as required
  • We will notify customers in advance of any water supply interruptions required during the project.

We appreciate the community’s patience and understanding as we complete this essential upgrade for Bracknell’s water network.
