What's this project all about?

TasWater is planning to design and install new pipe supports on the bridge to replace the existing ones. This work will ensure the water main is securely supported and continues to operate safely and reliably.

Replacing the pipe supports will reduce the risk of future failures and help protect this important part of the water network. It’s part of our ongoing commitment to maintaining essential infrastructure and providing dependable water services for the community.

What to expect?

TasWater aims to minimise disruptions to the local community, but there will be some temporary impacts while construction is underway, including:

• Increased vehicle movements, including heavy machinery
• General construction noise
• Partial road and pedestrian footpath closures in the local area

Traffic management will be in place to ensure you can still move around safely, and full access will be restored at the end of each day’s work.
