What’s this project all about?

As part of TasWater’s commitment to investing in new and improved water infrastructure, we will be installing a new water main between 101 Cadbury Road and the Cadbury Factory in Claremont.

Between Monday 31 March and early May 2025 our contractors (Water Industry Solutions) will be installing a new water main between 101 Cadbury Road and the Cadbury Factory in Claremont. Work hours will be between 7am and 6pm, Monday to Friday only.

What to expect during our works

During our works you may notice:

• Excavators digging pits and a short trench in the footpath and road reserve

• Earth drilling equipment

• Trucks delivering new pipes and removing/replacing soil.

• An increase in light work vehicles and workers operating in the area.

• Traffic management and pedestrian detours in place.

• A temporary increase in general construction noise during the hours of work, which includes trucks and other project related vehicles, power tools and machinery.
• There will be one water supply interruption to limited properties as we connect the pipeline to the existing system. This will be up to five hours at the end of the project. Affected properties will be advised once the date is confirmed.
