What’s this project all about?
We’re upgrading Campbell Town’s water network to improve water pressure, fire safety, and water quality for the local community.
This essential project involves installing new pipelines and replacing aging infrastructure to ensure your water supply is more reliable, safe, and future-ready.
As part of this work, TasWater will be installing a new pressure main beneath High Street (Midland Highway). These works will take place overnight to reduce the impact on local traffic and community activity during the day.
This is a key step in a broader project to upgrade the town’s water system and support Campbell Town’s long-term needs.
What will you notice during the works?
We understand that construction works can be disruptive, and we’re committed to keeping you informed every step of the way.
Throughout this project, you may notice:
- Crews and equipment working in local streets
- Night-time activity in some areas (to reduce daytime traffic impacts)
- Traffic changes near the highway and town entrances
- Temporary noise, dust, vibration, or lighting
Our contractors are working closely with impacted residents and businesses. We’ll provide advance notice of any service interruptions and traffic impacts wherever possible - and we’re always here to answer your questions.
