What’s this project all about?
We’re upgrading Campbell Town’s water network to improve water pressure, fire safety, and water quality for the local community.
This essential project involves installing new pipelines and replacing aging infrastructure to ensure your water supply is more reliable, safe, and future-ready.
As part of this work, TasWater will be installing a new pressure main beneath High Street (Midland Highway). These works will take place overnight to reduce the impact on local traffic and community activity during the day.
This is a key step in a broader project to upgrade the town’s water system and support Campbell Town’s long-term needs.
What will you notice during the works?
We know that construction can be disruptive, and we’re committed to keeping the community informed and supported.
During the works, you may notice:
- Crews and equipment working in local streets
- Night-time activity in some areas (to reduce daytime traffic impacts)
- Traffic changes near the highway and town entrances
- Temporary noise, dust, or vibration
Our contractors will work closely with impacted residents and businesses. We’ll provide advance notice wherever possible and remain available to answer your questions.
