What’s this project all about?

Cygnet is known for its natural beauty, rolling hills, and waterways. We're carrying out a series of sewerage upgrades to improve the reliability of local infrastructure and help protect the environment.

This project has supported the town’s future needs, ensuring essential services continue to meet modern standards. Through out the project we worked closely with the community and local landowners to minimise disruptions during construction.

What's happening?

Upgrades to three sewage pump stations in Cygnet. These upgrades included:

  • Improving site access and facilities to support safer and more efficient maintenance in the future.

Why are we doing this?

These improvements help reduce the risk of overflows for a healthier Huon River, and support improved environmental outcomes. This project is part of our commitment to keeping our waterways clean now and into the future.
