At TasWater, we’re committed to investing in infrastructure to keep Tasmania’s water services safe, reliable, and up to standard. Starting early in 2025, we’ll upgrade key treatment elements at the Fern Tree Pump Station.

What's this project all about?

This project focuses on improving the pump station’s reliability and ensuring Fern Tree’s drinking water remains of the highest quality. To achieve this, we’ll:

• Upgrade the station’s electrical systems.
• Replace the existing treatment system.

There will be no interruptions to your water supply during these works.

What to expect during our works

While we aim to minimise disruptions, you may notice the following:

• Traffic changes: Stephenson Place will stay open, but traffic management will be in place when needed.
• Increased activity: Expect more truck movements, light vehicles, and workers in the area as materials are delivered and removed.
• Pedestrian detours: For safety, minor, signed detours may be set up around active work areas.
