About
What's this project all about?
We’re upgrading a section of water main along Napier Street, between Charles and Oxford Streets, Beauty Point to help ensure a more reliable water service for the Beauty Point community.
The existing 100mm pipe has experienced a growing number of failures in recent years and is no longer performing to our standards. To improve long-term reliability and reduce the risk of future disruptions, we will be replacing it with a durable 100mm PVC-O water main.
Works are scheduled to begin on Monday, 12 January 2026 and are expected to take approximately six weeks to complete.
Works will run from 7:30am to 5pm, Monday to Friday, weather permitting.
Thank you for your understanding regarding project delays. We appreciate your cooperation as we carry out these essential works to support your local water services.
What to expect during the works
We are committed to minimising disruptions to the community, but you may notice some temporary impacts, including:
- Construction noise.
- Increased vehicle and crew activity, including trucks and contractor vehicles.
- Excavation along the footpath and road reserve.
- Minor traffic delays, with traffic management in place.
- Temporary access restrictions to some properties and limited on-street parking. Our crews will work with affected residents to minimise inconvenience.
- Water supply interruptions during testing and customer connections. We will provide directly impacted customers with further notification ahead of time.
We thank you for your patience as we deliver this important project.
