What's this project all about?

As part of our commitment to improve water infrastructure throughout the state, we will be replacing 263 metres of aging water main in King Street, Scottsdale.

This project will involve replacing the existing 150mm water main with a new 200mm PVC water main.

During construction there will be temporary impacts to some local on-street parking for periods of time.

The area is a recognised tourist destination, and we will ensure appropriate traffic management is in place, and we will provide advance communications to residents, businesses and the wider area before and during major works.

Works are planned to commence in February 2025.

Project update - Works now complete

We’re pleased to share that these important upgrade works are now complete.

We’d like to thank the Scottsdale community for their patience, understanding, and support throughout the project. We heard local concerns about impacts during peak trade periods and worked closely with businesses and residents to adjust our project timeline and minimise disruption.

At TasWater, we value our customers and communities deeply. Your cooperation and kindness during this time helped us deliver the project successfully, and we are grateful for the opportunity to work alongside you.
