What’s this project all about?

To continue delivering safe and reliable sewage services, we’ll soon be carrying out improvement works on Eleni Avenue in Kingston.

We’re installing a whirlybird educt on top of an existing vent pipe and sealing two nearby manholes to improve the performance of the local sewage network. These improvements are designed to help reduce odour and improve the local amenity for residents in the area.

The work will be carried out by TasWater contractor MSD Civil Services.

What will you notice during our works?

Whirlybird installation is scheduled for Tuesday, 6 May 2025 and should take one day to complete.

Manhole sealing works will begin on Tuesday, 20 May 2025 and are expected to take around two weeks, depending on weather and site conditions.

Works will occur Monday to Friday between 8.00am and 6.00pm.

While we’re working, you might notice:

  • Temporary increased odour
  • Construction vehicle movements
