Brighton, Tasmania is experiencing high levels of residential growth, with several developments having occurred in the area in recent years. The strong projected population growth, coupled with the announcement of the Brighton High School, was motivation for a comprehensive strategic Master Plan to be developed for the South Brighton area.

TasWater have given a commitment to Brighton Council to provide mains sewerage for the area. We will be installing over 2 kilometres of sewer mains throughout Dylan Street, Melinda Court and William Street, and constructing a brand new sewage pump station (SPS) at the end of Dylan Street.

Preliminary site setup will occur at the end of August and works will begin to progress through South Brighton between September 2024 and February 2025.

Completion of the project will coincide with the opening of the new Brighton High School in early February 2025.
