July 2025 Construction Update

16 July 2025

Significant progress is being made on-site to deliver this important project that will help improve the health of the Kanamaluka / Tamar Estuary and support Launceston’s growth.

Our latest works include:

  • Switchroom installed
The new switchroom has been delivered and carefully lifted into position. This is a key milestone as it will house the electrical systems that keep the site running smoothly.
  • Concrete roof sections poured
The first and second concrete roof sections have now been poured, providing the strength and durability needed for long-term performance.
  • Balance tank buried after successful testing
After passing a thorough hydrostatic test to confirm its integrity, earthworks have begun to backfill around the balance tank. This marks a major step towards integrating the tank into the site.
  • Pumps, valves, and pipes on site
All five pumps, along with associated valves and pipework, have been delivered and are ready for installation. These components will work together to ensure reliable water movement through the system.
  • Mechanical installation underway
Our team has started installing the internal pipework, which is a critical part of bringing the new infrastructure online.
