As part of the construction of a new 4.3 km sewer pipeline along Lower Domain Road, we’ll be carrying out some important investigation works to prepare for the next stage of the project.

What’s happening

• Ground condition investigations in the roadway, including potholing in small sections (around 15–20 metres at a time).
• Service proofing works to identify, protect, or adjust underground and above-ground utilities before additional pipeline construction work begins.

When

• From Monday 21 July to Friday 8 August 2025.

Where

• Sections of Lower Domain Road between the main entrance to Government House Tasmania and Carriage Drive.

Traffic changes

• Minor lane restrictions are in place while work is underway.
• Traffic controllers are on site to manage movements safely and efficiently.
• Some on-street parking may be temporarily impacted.
