Cornelian Bay Oval sewer pipeline works

13 November 2025

As part of the Selfs Point Sewer Transformation Project, work is now underway to install the next section of the new sewer pipeline through Cornelian Bay Oval. The pipeline will follow the northern edge of the oval, closest to the Brooker Highway, and continue toward the nearby public housing complex.

What to expect

  • Excavators, construction vehicles, and additional workers on site
  • Fenced work areas to keep the community safe
  • Some noise from excavation and pipe-laying activities

Work will take place Monday through Friday, between 7:00 am and 5:00 pm.

Subject to weather and ground conditions, these works are planned for completion in early 2026.

Update – Queens Walk (Bell Street to Bellevue Parade) Pipeline Works

Update – Queens Walk (Bell Street to Bellevue Parade) Pipeline Works

Following recent pipeline design refinements along Queens Walk (between Bell Street and Bellevue Parade), we’re pleased to confirm that the previously proposed road closure is no longer required.

We’ll share further details about upcoming works, including any future changes to our program and traffic conditions, in the coming weeks. Construction in this area is now expected to begin in early 2026.

We know the Cornelian Bay area is well-used and valued by the community, and we’re working hard to minimise disruption while delivering this important upgrade.
