Queens Walk Reopened to Traffic

17 March 2026

With major works to install the new sewer pipeline around Cornelian Bay now complete, Queens Walk has reopened to public traffic between Selfs Point Road and the Domain Highway.

Cornelian Bay Cemetery access

The main gate to Cornelian Bay Cemetery remains temporarily closed while we complete pressure testing works nearby. Barriers have been installed to separate our work area from the public safely.

During this time, the cemetery remains accessible via the temporary access point off Queens Walk near Cornelian Bay Oval. Full access through the main gate is expected to be reinstated by 27 March 2026.

Minor works

Over the coming week, our crews will complete minor concrete kerb and channel works in the area.

Work hours:

  • Monday to Friday 7 am to 6 pm
  • Saturday 8 am to 6 pm

While these works are underway:

  • Traffic will operate under a single-lane arrangement
  • Traffic controllers will be on site during working hours

Outside of these hours, normal traffic conditions will return.

We appreciate the community's patience while we complete these final works and thank you for your continued support as we deliver this important project.
