Between 2026 and 2030, we propose to invest $1.7 billion in capital works across the state - enhancing service reliability, facilitating growth, and protecting the environment.
Investing where it matters most.
From Strahan to St Helens, we’re taking a long-term view to secure safe, reliable water and sewerage services for every Tasmanian. Our regional master plans guide where and how we invest - identifying future needs, risks, and opportunities so we can act early and wisely.
These strategies help us prioritise what matters to communities, with planned upgrades ranging from dam safety improvements in Burnie to water security in Launceston and sewerage upgrades in Hobart.

Community led
Our PSP5 plan will allow us to directly address performance gaps while meeting customer expectations. We engaged with our community, who agreed it was important to progress toward meeting regulatory obligations and protect Tasmania's water future.
Our future
The proposed capital expenditure is 77 per cent higher than our forecast for the previous four-year period. We needed our plan to reflect the need to invest in infrastructure that supports Tasmania’s future, whilst balancing prices for our customers today.

Since creation, the palawa have lived here in lutruwita - Tasmania. Over 2,000 generations of Aboriginal families have cared for this Country, looking after its lands, seas, skies and waterways.
In the spirit of respect and gratitude, TasWater acknowledges the Tasmanian Aboriginal community as the traditional and ongoing custodians. We pay our respects to them, their culture and to elders past and present. We also acknowledge any Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people who are here with us today.
TasWater commits to working collaboratively and respectfully with the Tasmanian Aboriginal community to protect and sustain the precious resources on this ancient land for future generations.
