About
What's this project all about?
Stage 4 of our Regional Towns Water Supply Improvement program included the construction of a new water supply pipeline and pump station, connecting existing water infrastructure at Ellendale with the Fentonbury water treatment plant. Works commenced in July 2024 and the pipeline took approximately 9 months to complete.
The new pipeline will supply water to the Ellendale community from early September 2025 and will eliminate the need for seasonal water carting and ensure consistent, high-quality water for Ellendale residents year-round.
Thank you to the Ellendale, Fentonbury, and Westerway communities for your patience and support throughout this project as we work together towards a better water future for all Tasmanians.
