About
What's this project all about?
As part of TasWater’s commitment to delivering a better water future for all Tasmanians, we’re investing in significant improvements to support the water needs of our regional towns. Phase 2 of the Regional Towns Water Supply Improvement Program includes the construction of two new water treatment plants for the Bothwell and Oatlands communities, with works starting in October 2025 to replace the existing infrastructure.
These upgrades will mean a more reliable water supply, improved water quality, and increased capacity to meet current and future community needs.
What to expect during the works
During construction, you may notice more heavy vehicle movements in the area and temporary traffic arrangements as required. Please follow all signage and directions and thank you for helping to keep our people safe as they complete this essential work.
